inter.sect Art Collective for DFFLA

I participated in the inter.sect Art Collective in producing short videos every 24 hours for the Downtown Film Festival L.A., which celebrates the renaissance of downtown L.A. in all its facets — its historic movie palaces, its legendary cultural institutions, its thriving business and residential communities, and its unique ethnic-cultural diversity.

inter.sect Art Collective is a group of artists who use new media platforms to explore digital exhibition spaces outside the traditional gallery model. Their project involving visual translations of text via mobile phones was shown at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Contemporary, and at Pocket Films at the George Pompidou Centre in Paris.

We artists received a prompt consisting of some video footage, words, sometimes audio, and within 24 hours, produced a short video response. It was great fun, and I really enjoyed the exercise.
