I love snow days in Dallas. Everything shuts down, and you have license to sit on the couch and do nothing, because nobody else in the city is doing anything. It’s like a weather-related citywide siesta.

Today, however, was different. The snow was light, fluffy, and ethereal, and just gorgeous.

Apparently, it was THE snowiest 24-hour period in the history DFW weather records, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Snowfall was measured at 12.5″, 11.2″ of which fell on the 11th, which also set the new one calendar day record. The epic snowfall (for Dallas) made for an amazing show.
