I sprayed a butterfly with Round Up. Talk about feeling like a murderer. But he flew away after I rinsed him off with some water.

I am thinking about putting together a blog about Kyle Cooper, and Main Title Design. I am thinking about a career in designing titles for films and TV, because it is the ultimate expression of graphic design and motion design, and, of course, I get to use fonts. I will be putting together a portfolio of my stuff for the Internet (design-wise) and even though some of my classmates say, “wow, that’s easy to do” or “that’s such a specific job to seek” I think title design is easy to do badly, and if you don’t know what kinds of work you want to do you don’t know how to build that future for yourself. I am trying here, really trying, to get moving forward on my career, and I hope this works out.

Seeing as how there aren’t really that many people who want to do this anyway, I think there is less competition, and less noise for me in the career search. Wish me luck.

I chose title design because it is something I always notice about films and TV shows, the setup, the treatment of the introduction. You never get a second chance to make a first impression, no? I wanna be like Kyle Cooper , but not in the sort of obsessive I wanna be him fan-mentality. I want to do what he’s doing for a living, I want to work that life. I want to create and make beautiful things. Sigh.
