We have gathered here in the sight of God to witness Tien and Colleen bond their lives together. They do not enter this union lightly but with light heart and firm purpose. May this beginning lead to the fulfillment of all their dreams.
Tien, do you take this woman, Colleen, to be your lawful wedded wife? Do you promise to love, honor, keep and protect her, and to win her love each day of your life, in good times and in poor, and forsaking all others to keep only unto her for as long as you shall live?
Colleen, do you take this man, Tien, to be your lawful wedded husband? Do you promise to love, honor, keep and protect him, and to win his love each day of your life, in good times and in poor, and forsaking all others to keep only unto him for so long as you shall live?
Tien, repeat after me. With this ring I thee wed. It is a sign to the world that we are one. Wear it as a symbol of your acceptance of me, wear it in good times and in poor. It is a gift from my heart. With it I give my pledge of love, honor, and faithfulness.
Colleen, repeat after me. With this ring I thee wed. Wear it as a sign of our union and of your acceptance of me. With it I give my pledge of undying love and devotion.
May both these rings ever be a reminder of that beautiful relationship which you should keep one to the other. May all thy dreams come true, all thy joys be as bright as the Spring, and all your days be as a wedding day. Let sorrow, sickness, and troubled mind be a stranger to you.
Join right hands please. For so much as this man and this woman have joined together in Holy Wedlock, have pledged their faith to one another, and have signified the same by joining right hands, I now declare them to be husband and wife. Those who have joined together in the sight of God let no man put asunder.
Tien and Colleen, from this day forward you should feel no rain, for each will be shelter for the other. There should be no cold, for each will be warmth for the other. There should be no loneliness, for each will be company for the other.
You came before me as two people, but from this point forward there is but one life to be lived. Go now, enter into the days of that life together and may those days be good and long upon the earth.
Signed this 25th day of August, 2004.
